L2 Award in Student First Aid
Our Level 2 Student First Aid course has been designed to provide young people (ages 11-18) with the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to deal with a variety of incidents and emergency situations. This course is Ofsted approved.
The syllabus has been tailored to fit in or around any existing health education taught in secondary schools or other higher education establishments following the Governments announcement to make health education compulsory from September 2020.

A range of subjects are covered including:
- What is first aid?
- Primary survey
- Recovery position
- Resuscitation
- Safe use of an AED
- Choking
- Head injuries
- Cuts, grazes and bruises
- Nosebleeds
- Minor burns and scalds
- Fractures and dislocations
- Sprains and strains
This is a 3 hour course (1/2 day) requires students to pass a practical assessment and answer a written (multiple-choice) questionnaire.
On completion, students will be awarded with a Level 2 Award in Student First Aid (RQF) qualification that is valid for 3 years from the date of completion.
