L2 Award in Basic Life Support and AED

The level 2 award in Basic Life Support and use of AED is designed to provide people with the knowledge and skills needed to administer safe, prompt and effective life support.

In 4 hours (half day), students will gain the knowledge they need to deal with a variety of situations and be able to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely.

A range of subjects are covered including:

• What is First Aid?
• Action in an emergency
• Primary survey
• Secondary assessment
• Resuscitation and AED
• Disorders of respiration

Certification

This qualification is valid for 3 years from the date of completion.
